However, in pressureless sintering, it is necessary to add sintering aides so that sintering may progress only by heating, and in order to promote sintering of these composite ceramics, the optimum etal and ceramics aides (Metals : Fe,CO and Ni, Ceramics : Y_20_3, Al_2O_3, AlN, TiC and C) were investigated. Actually,the mechanical properties and the electrical properties were measured. The mechanical properties was able to acquire the characteristic far better than other aides, when AlN was added as sintering aide. For the concrete haracteristic, Vickers hardness shows 5.19GPa, flexural strength 220MPa, fracture toughness (Kic) 3.49MPa・m^\u003c1/2\u003e, Young\u0027s modulus 270GPa, rigidity 119GPa and Poisson\u0027s ratio 0.13. Electrical conductivity shows O.81MS・m^\u003c-1\u003e when Y_20_3 was added as sintering aide, and 0.46MS・m^\u003c-1\u003e when AlN was added.In conclusion, AlN is the optimum sintering aide from the view of the mechanical and electrical properties in this experiment. 内容記述 | This paper is concerned with the production of TiB_2・B_4C composite by the pressureless sintering method, which can produce the sintering body of arbitrary shape. However, in pressureless sintering, it is necessary to add sintering aides so that sintering may progress only by heating, and in order to promote sintering of these composite ceramics, the optimum etal and ceramics aides (Metals : Fe,CO and Ni, Ceramics : Y_20_3, Al_2O_3, AlN, TiC and C) were investigated. Actually,the mechanical properties and the electrical properties were measured. The mechanical properties was able to acquire the characteristic far better than other aides, when AlN was added as sintering aide.
