Using Mie’s theory, the spectra of extinction, scattering, and absorption efficiencies are calculated for different particle diameters and refractive indices. Spectral shapes are similar for the Pd-Cu-Si and pure crystalline Pd nanoparticles. The Pd-Cu-Si spectral resonance peaks show enhanced redshift and broadening, which are attributed to crystallinity and composition.
