Fukuoka Prefecture Fukuoka City etc. observed six or less in the seismic intensity due to this earthquake. A strong shake was observed within the wide range in the Kyushu region and the Chugoku region. Result of investigation, Big damage was not very seen in Nokonoshima. However, groundwater gushed by the abnormal rise. As for the Genkaijima, the damage of the house was extensive because the Genkaijima was the nearest the hypocenter. Especially, the collapse of the house that became superannuated was remarkable. However, it is thought that the disaster caused by soil is a little, and the ground was comparatively steady.
