FT-IR, DSC, and XRD techniques. Elemental analysis showed that the stoichiometry was bispyridylalkane/silver alkylsulfonate=1 : 1. From FT-IR and XRD data, it seems that bispyridylalkanes and silver alkylsulfonates form comb-shaped coordination polymers bearing alkylsulfonate anions as side chain.
