For what are they taking a certain course? How do they want to achieve their goal if they have one? These are the questions the students are asked to consider and answer. It is to let them have better or clearer image and objectives for them to study English. They seem to take English courses only for the sake of taking credits to fulfill requirement for graduation. Being aware of one's own objectives while learning English would be beneficial and important because it induces higher motivation in learning. A questionnaire was taken as the first step of the training of the learners to learn how to learn a language, English in this case. It was found out that though they are vague, the students have a fair knowledge and image of their future need of the command of English. Yet they have a weak strategy and motivation to attain their goal.
