 note = {application, Since 1963, Nagano National college of Technology has been offering a skiing school as one of academic events. The purpose of the skiing school is not only to learn skiing skills, but also to develop the friendship among the participants. In addition, this event takes advantage of characteristics of our home nature. This report summarizes: 1. the outline of the skiing school carried out between the academic year of 1993 and that of 1998, and 2. the result of the questionnaires after the skiing schools. We found that students were very enthusiastic, and their skills were improved. The events were fully supported by our faculty members, and valued highly by the participants. From the points mentioned above, we believe that our goals of the events had been achieved; however, we must continue our effort to improve the quality of the event further.},
