Foreign students to colleges of technology are, unlike those to undergraduate and graduate courses, expected to acquire fundamental knowledge of their disciplines, and to become facilitators of friendship between their own countries and Japan as pro-Japanese rather than to become contributors to world science and the advancement of the technological front. In this report we first would like to present an overview of foreign students studying at the colleges of technology. Then we would like to report supporting programs at Nagano National College of Technology, focusing on study support and international exchange. We would like to show that in general the programs have been quite successful and fruitful. Several issues and problems to be considered and solved are also discussed.}, pages = {175--180}, title = {高専における留学生への援助プログラムと課題 : 長野高専の場合を中心として}, volume = {33}, year = {1999} }
