| 内容記述 | In this paper, a new elevation labeling method is proposed which can be applied to contour images containing cliff symbols and broken lines caused by overlapping map symbols with contour lines. Some traditional approaches to this issue need ideal contours without them, as an input data. But the pairs of the corresponding contour lines are sufficiently identified on the basis of neighboring and geometric relationships among these lines. After eliminating cliff symbols, those elided parts can be approximated by human editing. As a result, the proposed method is able to remove the human operation and backbreaking task partially in DEM (Digital Elevation Model) generation from topographical maps. | |||||
