 note = {application, During the second half of this century, rivers and creeks with their shoes and forests were drastically alted, developed and adopted to the needs of the time. Conseqently several species of fishes, insects and plants around us were extinguished. The idea of the term Biotope for improvement and sorrounding has been reentrly recognized in Japan. It is nescesery for a well balanced nature to restore rivers and creeks with good ecotone. This report is an outline of the history and prezent state of water environment in Torii river vasin. 33 registered creeks in main Torii river and others were selected for this investigation.},
