Specially the purpose of this work is the analysis for the two dimensional flow field in the rotating cylinders (Taylor vortex flow). Working fluid is visualized with small particles. The flow field lighted with slitted light perpendicular to the rotating axis of the inner cylinder is taken photographed picture for image data. This image processing system consists of an image scaner (NEC PC-in503) as the input device, a personal computer (NEC PC-9801Vm2) as the controlling and processing device, a T-V monitor, a plotter and a printer as outputting devices.
