| 内容記述 | Many scholars thought that the imperial court and the senatorial court in the early Roman Empire were competitive in the jurisdiction of criminal affairs committed by the senators. However, this paper concludes the following : (1) The emperor decided which court would deal with the accusations; (2) The crimes tried by each court were different, so that the two courts mutually complemented one another. We will find one of the reasons why imperial jurisdiction became institutionalized. | |||||
